Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people... (Exodus‬ 19‬:3‬-6‬ KJV‬‬)‬‬‬‬ The 10 commandments were given in (Exodus 20:1-17). If you break one of them, you will be breaking them all. Jesus said, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. These two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”(Matthew‬ 22‬:37‬-40‬ KJV‬‬).‬‬‬‬‬‬ Now, these tell us that for us to stay away from sin, it is for us to love God with all our heart, mind, and soul, as well as loving God’s people. We can love others by providing food when they are in need or simply visiting them at the hospital, just to name a few. Jesus also told us that those who obey His commands are the ones that love Him, and because they love Him, the Father will love them as well (John 14:21). Now, the big question that should be on our minds right now should be “do I love God?” If the answer is no, then this is the opportunity to turn your mind and repent and turn to God. If yes, then continue standing firm on faith, faithful servant of Jesus.
