When challenges are meant for our spiritual benefits come, we are often misled by impatience without having the spirit of perseverance in waiting for God Almighty in Faith. The best way man should acknowledge God is to praise him even when the situation is challenging. This was the case of the Israelites when they waited for Moses on his journey to bring back the commandments of God. Instead of reflecting on the goodness of God in the past and waiting in faith; they made an idol, forgetting the God who had brought them from slavery into freedom (Genesis 32:1). Many of us today are making rushed wrong decisions due to lack of patience. We are so much influenced by this ‘microwave generation’. We want everything so quick in our lives and are willing to do anything sinful. Perhaps it is sexual immorality to get a job or progress in your career, or is it through corruption? The word of God says; ”The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus”(Romans 6:23). This assures us of our only way to freedom and salvation through Christ Jesus, who stands as the free gift of life from God to those who believe and do his will. Therefore, as we enjoy this wonderful gift of life, which comes from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May we not be deceived by Satan and his evil agents in order to miss this wonderful opportunity, which saves us from the wages of our sins. Rather let’s embrace the Gift of God that leads us into eternal life through Christ Jesus. Repent!
