In John 14:21, Jesus said, "Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.” So, if we continue to live a life of disobedience, that means the love of the Father will not be in us, which means we are friends with the world; and because of that, we will be enemies of God. Isaiah 59:2 NLT reminds us that, It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore. We can only live a life of repentance by obedience; so we are not separated from our Holy God.
