There, your ancestors tested and tried my patience, even though they saw everything I did [Psalms 95:8-9 NLT]. Because of the unbelief in the hearts of the Israelites, they complained against Moses and Aaron, not believing the Lord would take them to the land He promised them [Numbers 14:1-4]. But, God was not happy about it because He already did enough for them to believe that nothing is impossible for Him. We see now that this unbelief led to their destruction as some were killed by the plague, and some were swallowed by the ground alive with everything they owned. God keeps waking us every morning, and that means He has a purpose for us. Instead of doubting that God will be providing for our finances for instance, let's focus on doing what Jesus told us in Matthew 6:33, "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." This tells us that God knows what we need; all that is needed is for us to prioritize Him above everything else by reading the bible, praying daily, and obeying His commandments, just to name a few. And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him [Hebrews 11:6 NLT].
