Kalady Ashrama: Report on Mahashivaratri Celebration at Kalady Ashrama on 26th February2025 Namaskar/Namaste, Mahashivaratri was celebrated at Kalady Ashrama with great devotion to Lord Mahadev, bringing together monastic members, Gurukulam students, and devotees to honor Lord Shiva. The celebration began at 5:00 AM with Mangalarati, followed by Vedic chantings by the monastic members and Gurukulam students, setting a spiritually uplifting tone for the day. Later, prayers were offered at the temple on the banks of the Periyar River, and a special Puja was performed at the Shiva image near the riverside. In the evening, the usual Arati was conducted, and devotees joined in singing devotional songs in honor of Lord Shiva. The highlight of the evening was the Maha Shivaratri Puja, which began at 9:00 PM in the shrine. The sacred ritual and devotional songs, continuing well into the night, filling the Ashrama with divine energy.
