Statement by H.E Dr Nangolo Mbumba, President of the Republic of Namibia on the Occasion of the Launch of “Whispers of Freedom: the Political Odyssey of Hage G. Geingob,” February6, 2025 Windhoek, Namibia Ladies and Gentlemen; 1. On the 4th of February, to be precise two days ago, we commemorated the 1st Anniversary of the passing of our beloved President Dr Hage G. Geingob. Today, we have gathered again, only this time not with hearts full of grief, but rather with much appreciation for a life well lived in the service of Namibia and humanity, as chronicled in the book “Whispers of Freedom: The Political Odyssey of Hage Geingob,” which we are launching now. 2. I am therefore deeply honoured and in the same vein, humbled for yet another opportunity to share in the celebration of the life of President Hage G. Geingob. 3.
