Hiring: Power System Engineer Location: Ikeja, Lagos Industry: Telecomms This position provides design, develop, and maintain power systems for electrical infrastructure and distribution. Ensure reliable, efficient, and safe power supply to equiment. Responsibilities * Verifying correct system (RMS, Hybrid, Solar) installations. * Coordinating with all stake holders, power subcontractors and remote monitoring system (RMS) subcontractors, & network operation centers (NOC). * Coordinate with NOC to ensure site power availability has not been impacted by RMS and power subcontractors during deployment. * Ensure complete documentation of power/ RMS system. * Responsible for power supply systems & earth aspects on all sites under implementation by the company. * Responsible for specifying power supply systems on all new solutions designed or implemented by the company. * Responsible for Monitoring of Generators at all Outdoor DAS sites as assigned by line manager. * Responsible for conducting TSS and preparing reports, especially on power systems. * Responsible for implementing the latest power system technologies (solar, wind, etc). * Assist the Project Manager to implement all technical jobs in the field. * Provide technical assistance to Project Manager, Project Engineer and technical team. * Design, develop, and test electrical power systems. * Carry out power system analysis, modeling, and optimization. * Make sure that the codes, standards, and regulations are followed when designing and installing electrical power systems. * Analyzing existing electrical systems for efficiency and effectiveness and recommending improvements. * Analyze and resolve complex electrical engineering issues relating to equipment failure and system inefficiencies. * Work with deployment team to review power requirements,specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. * Execute other activities assigned by Head of Engineering. Skills/Attributes/Knowledge * DC Generator; (installation, troubleshooting & maintenance) * AC Generator (installation, troubleshooting & maintenance) * Solar System (exposure on installation, battery installation, combiner box, controller & maintenance) * Rectifiers & Inverter (performance, troubleshooting & maintenance.) * Controlling & Monitoring systems (understanding of installation of RMS, equipment & software concept approach) Qualification/Experience * Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field. * At least 3 years’ experience working in telecomms as a power systems Technician/Engineer Salary: 400k - 450k Benefits: HMO, 13th month, Group life assurance, Christmas incentives, 18days leave, laptop, phone, call/data credit, birthday celebrations, etc. CV to [email protected] role as subject
