قال الإمام ابن الجوزي رحمه الله:
The Imam Ibn al-Jawzi, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
مَن رزق قلبًا طيبًا، ولذّة مُناجاة؛
Whoever is granted a pure heart and the sweetness of intimate supplication,
فليُراع حاله، وليحترز من التغيير،
let him take care of his state and beware of change,
وإنّما تدوم له حاله بدوام التّقوى.
for his state will only remain by the continuation of piety.
