Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has urged residents to utilise government hospitals in their communities to access quality healthcare and justify the state’s substantial investment in hospital renovations and medical equipment. Governor Oyebanji made this call on Tuesday while receiving a delegation of leaders from Ifaki-Ekiti, led by former Governor Chief Segun Oni. He stated that his administration is currently renovating nine General Hospitals and equipping them with state-of-the-art medical facilities and personnel to ensure widespread access to affordable and efficient healthcare services. Responding to the delegation’s request for an upgrade of the Ifaki General Hospital to a specialist facility, Governor Oyebanji explained that such an upgrade, whether in Ifaki or any other community, would depend on the level of patronage.
