*VACANCY - ACCOUNTS OFFICER*
Our client, who is in the Real Estate sector, in Mombasa with properties in Kenya’s Coast Region and beyond is looking for an Accounts Officer to be posted at its Mombasa office. The successful candidate will be part of the finance and operations team.
*Duties & Responsibilities:*
• Preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconciling bank statements and financial records.
• Cash flow management
• Recording daily financial transactions.
• Maintaining general ledgers and preparing trial balances.
• Processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Managing payroll and statutory deductions (SHIF, NSSF, PAYE, Housing Levy).
• Ensuring compliance with KRA tax regulations (VAT, income tax, withholding tax).
• Preparing and filing tax returns on time.
• Assisting in internal and external audits.
• Coordinating with banks, auditors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Assisting in financial planning for property sales and rental income.
• Providing financial insights to management for decision-making.
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
* 2-3 years of experience in a dynamic financial setting
* CPA (part III) qualification is preferred
