Pata Kazi - Opportunities For Young Kenyans
March 1, 2025 at 07:14 AM
Interviewer: Do you have any questions for us?
Candidate: Nope, I think you covered everything!
🚨 Mistake: Saying you have no questions can make you seem uninterested or unprepared. The interview is a two-way street. It’s also your chance to evaluate the company!
❌ What You Should Avoid Saying:
1. “No, I don’t have any questions.” → This makes it seem like you haven’t thought about the role or the company.
2. “How soon can I get a promotion?” → While ambition is great, this can come off as impatient if asked too early.
3. “What does your company do?” → This is something you should already know from your research!
✅ What You Should Say Instead:
1. “Can you tell me more about the team I’d be working with?” → Shows interest in collaboration.
2. “What are the biggest challenges someone in this role might face?” → Demonstrates that you’re thinking ahead.
3. “How do you define success in this role?” → Helps you understand expectations.
4. “What do you enjoy most about working here?” → Gives insight into company culture.
💡 Tip: Always prepare at least 3-5 questions. It shows you’re engaged, proactive, and serious about the job!
