~The PMDC has revised its previous notification regarding the increase in the passing percentage for MBBS/BDS final exams and the minimum attendance required to sit in exams. ~Now, universities have been given the authority to amend these criteria in the future. With this new notification, the policies of individual universities will now apply. For example, KMU has already increased the passing percentage to 60% from the 2024-25 session onwards, and UHS has also recently made changes to its curriculum. ~This is good news for current MBBS/BDS students in both public and private medical colleges, as they will continue their education under the rules that were in place at the time of their admission. Additionally, universities are expected to make reasonable decisions while implementing any new changes.
