🤔Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju has opened up about his battle with the East Africa Development Bank (EADB), accusing the financial institution of attempting to auction his property while he was fighting for his life in the ICU. Speaking in court yesterday, Tuju recalled the harrowing experience from 2020 when he was involved in a near-fatal accident and had to undergo intensive medical care. Despite his critical condition, he claims the bank sent auctioneers to seize his property, knowing fully well that the legal grounds for doing so were questionable. "In 2020, when I had a fatal accident and was in the ICU, the bank sent auctioneers to take over my property, fully aware that they had no grounds to do so. If I had not survived, my children and family would have been left dispossessed. But by God's grace, I survived," Tuju recounted. Photo: Peter Maruti (TUKO)
