WEEKEND DATES AND OPENING TIMES OF DRIVERS LICENCE TESTING CENTRES AND MOTOR LICENCING OFFICES IN MARCH 2025 Members of the public are advised that Drivers Licencing Testing Centres offer Drivers Licencing-related services such as Bookings for Learners and Drivers Tests as well as Testing, Renewal of Drivers Licences, Applications for and Renewals of PrDPs, and Collection of Drivers Licence Cards. They do not offer Motor Vehicle Licencing services unless otherwise stated. Documents that are required for the processing of Driver's Licence Renewal Applications in terms of the National Road Traffic Act, Act 93 of 1996 are: • Identity Document/Smart Card and a copy thereof; • Cost of R250 for issue of Drivers Licence (Please note that Provincial Office’s only accept card payments); • Cost of R90 for temporary Drivers Licence (Please note that Provincial Office’s only accept card payments) and 1X ID-sized Black and White or Colour Photograph. The following should be noted regarding Proof of Residence: • Must not be older than 3 months; • Must clearly state the physical address, e.g. a bank statement, store account, etc. • If the applicant is residing with parents, a letter by the parent accompanied with the proof of residence is required; An eye test certificate from an optometrist is preferred and must not be older than 3 months. EMPANGENI DLTC have advised that they will not be opening on weekends in March 2025. MKONDENI DLTC have advised that they will not be opening on weekends in March 2025. NEWCASTLE DLTC have advised that they will not be opening on weekends in March 2025. PINETOWN/MARIANHILL DLTC will be open on weekends 01-02, 08-09, 15-16 and 29-30 March 2025 from times 07h00-13h00 offering the following services: • Drivers and PRDP Licence Renewals • Collection of Drivers Licences There will be no bookings of Learners and Driving Licences on the weekends. Payments are made by cards only (Master or Visa cards only). It is recommended that those applicants with bad eyesight bring optometrist reports for the eye test. Please note that the DLTC will not be open on the weekend of 22-23 March 2025. ROSSBURGH DLTC will be open on weekends 01-02, 08-09, 15-16 and 29-30 March 2025 from times 07h30-13h30 offering the following services: • Collection of Driving Licence Cards • Renewals of Driving Licences • PrDP application (new applications and renewals) and issue (R250) There will be no bookings of Learners and Driving Licences on the weekends. Payments are made by cards only (Master and Visa cards) and applicants must bring optometrist reports for the eye test. Please note that the DLTC will not be open on the weekend of 22-23 March 2025. DURBAN MOTOR LICENCING OFFICE will be open on the weekend of 08-09 March 2025 from 08h00 to 13h00 offering all motor vehicle licencing services. PIETERMARITZBURG LICENCING OFFICE / HYSLOP ROAD will not be opening on weekends in March 2025. PINETOWN MOTOR LICENCING BUREAU will be open on the weekend of 08-09 March 2025 from 08h00 to 13h00 offering all motor vehicle licencing services. UMBILO MOTOR LICENCING OFFICE will be open on the weekend of 08-09 March from 08h00 to 13h00 offering all motor vehicle licencing services. The following MUNICIPALLY-RUN Driver’s Licence Testing Centres and Motor Licencing Offices are open on weekends as follows: BALLITO MOTOR LICENCING OFFICE will be open on 01 and 15 March 2025 from 08h00 to 13h30 for the renewal of motor vehicle licences only. KWADUKUZA DLTC will be operating on the following Saturdays, 01 and 15 March 2025 from 07h00 to 13h00. The DLTC will be rendered all services to the public relating to Driving/Learners licences except Drivers Licence Tests. The Motor Licencing Office will be open for all motor vehicle-related transactions. RAY NKONYENI (PORT SHEPSTONE) DLTC – To be advised. UMHLANGA Motor Licencing Office is open on Saturdays, 01, 08, 15 and 29 March 2025 from 07h15 - 12:30 for all motor vehicle licencing transactions. VERULAM DLTC is open on Saturdays, 01, 08, 15 and 29 March 2025 for all drivers’ licence-related transactions from 07h00 – 13h00.
