All SASSA beneficiaries need to switch their gold Postbank cards to the new black Postbank cards or alternatively, switch to a bank payment before 20 March 2025. After this date, gold cards will no longer be valid. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 - You will not be able to withdraw money. - You will not be able to check your balance. - You will not receive your monthly grant. 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐠 Unfortunately, there are currently no locations within the Langeberg Municipal area where beneficiaries can complete the card switch. Postbank is still in the process of sourcing a site in Robertson, which will be communicated to all SASSA beneficiaries and stakeholders as soon as it is known. The nearest location where the new black card is issued is Shoprite in Durban Street, Worcester, operating Monday to Friday (08:00 - 17:00). 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 Beneficiaries can also choose to have their grants paid directly into their personal bank accounts. To assist with this process, Special Outreach Programmes have been scheduled. The outreach dates and locations are as follows: - Friday, 21 February 2025 – Happy Valley Community Hall, Bonnievale - Thursday, 27 February 2025 – Wilhelm Thys Community Hall, Montagu - Monday, 3 March 2025 – Barnard Community Hall, Ashton - Tuesday, 4 March 2025 – McGregor Community Hall 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐀 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞/𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐠 Beneficiaries can also visit the following SASSA service points for assistance: - Monday – Friday: Robertson Thusong Centre (Corner of Wesley and Paddy Street, Panorama) - Mondays: Ashton – Barnard Hall (24 February; 3, 10, 14 & 24 March 2025) - Tuesdays: McGregor – Community Hall (4 March 2025) - Wednesdays: Bonnievale – Happy Valley Community Hall (19, 26 February; 5, 12, 19, 26 March 2025) - Thursdays: Montagu – Wilhelm Thys Community Hall (20, 27 February; 6, 13, 20, 27 March 2025) 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐏𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 Beneficiaries who wish to have their grant payments deposited into their personal bank accounts must submit the following documents on or before 20 March 2025: - Proof of own bank account (third-party accounts are not allowed) - Copy of ID - Completed Consent Form for Bank Change Payment: https://www.langeberg.gov.za/documents/translated-articles/5990-sassa-consent-form-for-bank-payment/file.html - Completed Declaration and Consent Form: https://www.langeberg.gov.za/documents/translated-articles/5991-declaration-and-consent-reviews-v2-final-23-march-2021/file.html These documents can be submitted at the above SASSA service sites in the Langeberg area. 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞: If a beneficiary has previously applied for a grant in another region, they will be required to review their application since the new region does not have access to their previous records.
