The molding process. Omwoga gwokubumba ✍️AnkundaOmunyankore(+256770460203 for more) Ankole all tools were made locally according to the nature of the land. ie the formation of the soil or plants would force people to adopt what to do. where there is clay soil, people around there would mold ( okunogora)or pottery. A lot of tools were made out of clay such as enyungu(pots, orutebe, enyungu egoya enyabya, enjemeko)and others. This was mainly done by women although men would do simple pottery like making enyungu yokuretsya, smoking pipe and later they started making charcoal stoves ,sigiri and this happened after some towns started to develop. But making stoves were not all much as of now days and pottery was done for both economy and domestic use. Batter trade was involved on the side of economic where by pottery was exchanged with food, iron tools, seeds and skins. Pottery was highly respected on Ankole lands like any other industry of now days. There comes modernazition and making of plastic and pottery started declining. People of Ankole loved plastic not because they were good but it was hard to brake them most of the pots were replaced by plastic. Water utensils changed from pots to Jerrycans and hard to brake unlike pots where by a simple mistake it's done. And some iron tools like pans replaced in the kitchen. I think now our kids will find pots in the museums and they will explain to them and what was the use in Ankole. Its pity. AnkundaOmunyankore #nkore #ensiy'amateN'obwoki
