AWS has introduced Ocelot, a new quantum computing chip designed to make quantum error correction much more efficient. Traditional quantum computers need many physical qubits to correct errors, making them complex and costly. Ocelot uses "cat qubits" that naturally reduce some errors, cutting correction costs by up to 90% and potentially speeding up the development of practical quantum computers by five years.
