Dear Sir/ Madam, GREEN Olympiad for Youth (GO4Youth) is open to any student in the age group of 18 to 30 years and enrolled in a Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in India. GO4Youth is implemented by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and endorsed by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. This initiative is an annual MCQ-based examination (available in both Hindi and English) for students that evaluates environmental consciousness, behaviour, and aptitude of individuals. The examination has an interdisciplinary approach and will cover information about the framework for Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Campus Development in HEIs (SATAT), Mission LiFE, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Net Zero, Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari, and Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan other national priority schemes. As you are aware, UGC has mandated that environmental education be a core subject for undergraduate students. Hence, participation in GO4Youth will enhance your understanding about environment and sustainability issues.
