🌍🌿 Happy Belated World Wetlands Day!🌿🌍 We celebrate the success of Chidziyamhango Wetland in Ward 25, Buhera, which has been protected and restored through the Climate Adaptation Project. Since its restoration, we have witnessed: ✅ Enhanced tree growth 🌳 ✅ Restoration of grass and shrub species 🌱 ✅ Water recharge, benefiting livestock that previously traveled 3-4 km for water 💧 ✅ 100 additional indigenous trees planted 🌲 Looking ahead, the community is planning to expand wetland use through fish farming and hay harvesting to support local livelihoods.
