He was emphasizing the power and authority vested in His Name, making it clear to us that this authority is effective in bringing about any desired result, Let’s examine those words a bit more: first, He said, "If you shall ask anything in my name.. To ask here means to demand something. The Lord Jesus Christ was referring to situations where you demand that something should happen in His Name. At such moments, He says, "I will cause it to happen." What an assurance! This is a demonstration of the authority we have in His Name*.
