President Museveni Commissions 132KV Mirama-Kabale Transmission Line On his way from Kisoro, President Yoweri Museveni made a stop at Hamuko, Kabale Substation, where he officially commissioned the 132KV Mirama-Kabale Transmission Line. Highlighting the NRM government's commitment to development, President Museveni emphasized the importance of peace and infrastructure, particularly electricity, in empowering Ugandans. He noted that the previous 33KV power line was inadequate for large-scale industrial production, such as steel manufacturing, despite the region’s abundant iron ore deposits. With the new high-voltage line in place, the government aims to attract heavy industries, boost local job creation, and accelerate economic growth in the region.
