Noodle (the Nal'ibali mascot) had a fantastic World Read Aloud Day 2025 schedule in Mpumalanga. His first destination was Breyten, where he celebrated #wrad2025 alongside Msukaligwa LIS, Nzambenang Productions, parents, gogos, teachers, and 602 Laerskool Breyten learners. Following the read-aloud session, the children all promised Noodle that they would participate in the Nal'ibali library reading programme.
Noodle was met with delight during his second #wrad2025 event, held at Khonzakahle Primary School in Breyten. Our partners at Ikwekwezi FM hosted a live broadcast of the event, while Nzambenag Productions entertained the students, parents, and teachers with a dramatisation of the #wrad2025 special story 'What is that?'
To conclude his #wrad2025 celebrations, Noodle enjoyed the #nalibaliwrad2025 special story in addition to story activities with teachers and 175 pupils from Summerfield Private School in Ermelo. And, as they say, a party without cake is just a meeting!
