The ninth series of multinational exercises, AMAN-2025, hosted by the Pakistan Navy and attended by 60 countries—including a military delegation and a naval vessel from the Islamic Republic of Iran—began today at the port of Karachi. The international exercise was inaugurated on the Karachi coast in the presence of the Commander of the Pakistan Navy Fleet and the heads of participating delegations.
For the first time, the Iranian Navy is participating in this exercise with a naval vessel. The high-ranking delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy will take part in various activities throughout the event. The AMAN naval exercise is held every two years. This year’s edition, under the slogan “Together for Peace,” will continue in Karachi until February 11 (February 23).
On the sidelines of the exercise, the Iranian military delegation is scheduled to participate in the Aman Dialogue International Conference, which focuses on maritime cooperation, and hold meetings with various delegations, including Pakistani military officials.
According to the Pakistan Navy, many countries are participating in the exercise with their ships and combat forces, while others have joined as delegations and representatives.
