attempts-to-create-division-within-the-presidium-futile _On the fast lane to 2030 by Maxwell Haitengeswinyika Teedzai_ *Those sowing discord in ZANU PF are wasting their time* | Tues Feb 4, 2025 The attempts to create division within the Ruling Revolutionary ZANU PF Party are not just futile; they are a profound miscalculation. HE President Dr ED Mnangagwa, as the Head of State and Government, Commander-in-Chief of the ZDF — Zimbabwe Defence Forces, First Secretary of the Ruling Party and Summit Chair of the SADC — Southern African Development Community, stands as a pillar of strength alongside Vice President Rtd General Dr CDGN Chiwenga. Their unwavering loyalty to the Party is rooted in a shared history of struggle against colonial oppression, a bond forged in the fires of the Liberation War. Those who seek to undermine this unity are essentially tilting at windmills, wasting energy on an endeavor that lacks both substance and support. Fabricated fallacies suggesting that President Mnangagwa is not fighting corruption and protecting the elite are not grounded in reality. Under his Leadership, significant strides have been made toward transparency and accountability, with numerous high-profile corruption cases being addressed. The President has implemented reforms aimed at strengthening institutions and ensuring that the rule of law prevails. His advancement of judicial infrastructure is another example of the President’s commitment to upholding the rule of law in the Great Republic of Zimbabwe. These efforts demonstrate a commitment to eradicating corruption, not shielding it. Furthermore, the narrative that he prioritizes the elite overlooks the broader impact of his policies, which focus on uplifting all Zimbabweans, particularly those historically marginalized. Such misleading claims only serve to distract from the progress being made and the genuine efforts to create a fair and equitable society. These baseless accusations again President Mnangagwa are being exploited by our detractors who wish to paint a picture of discontent within a Prty that however, will forever remain resolute. The very idea that these issues can incite a rebellion within a Party steeped in history and commitment to the nation is a gross misjudgment. Instead of weakening the bond between the President and Vice President, these attempts only serve to amplify their resolve to lead the Great Republic of Zimbabwe towards stability and prosperity. The political landscape is littered with the remnants of failed insurrections, and history serves as a reminder that unity within ZANU PF is a formidable force. The relationship between President Mnangagwa and VP Chiwenga is characterized by mutual respect and shared goals, a partnership that has weathered storms of adversity. Their combined Leadership is not just a function of political necessity but a commitment to the ideals that underpin the Nation’s existence. The notion that external forces can disrupt this synergy is nothing short of naïve. Those who align themselves with the opposition, seeking to exploit perceived weaknesses, are merely chasing shadows. The efforts to incite discord are akin to sowing seeds in barren soil; they yield no fruit. The loyalty demonstrated by the President and Vice President, reinforced by decades of fighting for liberation, stands as a bulwark against attempts to fracture the party. Their bond, fortified through trials and triumphs, remains unshakeable, rendering opposition efforts impotent. Furthermore, the constitutionally elected Government, backed by the will of the people, provides an unyielding foundation for ZANU PF’s governance. To challenge this legitimacy is to challenge the very essence of democracy. The opposition's focus on internal Party disputes as a strategy for political advancement is both misguided and counterproductive. Instead of fostering growth and unity within their fragile party, they are defraying their efforts to a nonentity, a pursuit that lacks the support of the electorate. Thus attempts by opposition forces to drive a wedge between the Leadership of ZANU PF are a fruit devoid of its juice. The bond between President Mnangagwa and Vice President Chiwenga is one that is built on shared sacrifices and a Vision for a united Great Republic of Zimbabwe. As they continue to Lead with purpose and integrity, the distractions and deceptions of those who seek discord will inevitably fade into obscurity, proving once again that unity is strength. #handsoffourpresident ZANUPF #unity #leadership #livinglifetheprecabeway #thegreatrepublicofzimbabwe #vision2030*
