personal-honor-and-our-own-national-leaders _On the fast lane to 2030 by Maxwell Haitengeswinyika Teedzai_ *The importance of honoring our National Leaders for personal prosperity* | Thurs Feb 6, 2025 In our society, the lack of personal honor for our National Leaders can work against our individual lives and economic prospects. History and scripture provide powerful examples of those who rebelled against their leaders, leading to their own downfall. Democracy is not inherently familiar to African culture, and thus it must be treated with suspicion to ensure it serves to uplift our social fabric rather than tear it down. The Ruling Revolutionary ZANU PF Party has been reminding every Zimbabwean that HE President Dr ED Mnangagwa is the only National Leader elected by every single constituency in the Great Republic of Zimbabwe. He holds a significant majority in the House. This message comes in response to disruptive social media attacks and cyberbullying targeting the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces. Some sought to exploit his absence during his annual leave to undermine his Leadership and sow discord within the Party. However, these attempts failed, and to their shame, President Mnangagwa remains Head of State and Government, as well as Chair of the SADC Summit. Those who took the time to attack him were ultimately harming their own prospects. The tide has turned, and the President is back in action, revitalizing the National modernization and industrialization Vision for 2030. Just yesterday, he convened all Ministers of State and their Permanent Secretaries at State House to refine the country’s Devolution Policy and strategies for implementing the NDA — National Development Agenda 2030. This effort aims to elevate many into the UMIS — Upper-Middle-Income-Status, even well before the commencement of the NDS-2 — National Development Strategy-2, which will run from the end of 2025 to 2030. He also took a moment to share a lighter moment with Vice President Rtd Gen Dr CDGN Chiwenga, as he resumed his Presidential duties after his leave. Disrespecting our National Leaders can lead to personal and collective downfall. The Bible illustrates this through characters like Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Daniel, and Joseph, who thrived in foreign lands where they had no rights. Despite being in nations that worshipped false gods, their reverence for their leaders and their humble approach to social immorality allowed them to prosper. Even when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego faced the fiery furnace under King Nebuchadnezzar, they chose to obey the law of the land, recognizing the importance of honoring their leaders. It is better to honor our National Leaders than to rebel against them. As the renowned poet William Shakespeare suggested, insulting a National Leader does not put bread on the table. God disapproves of a grumbling spirit, and when we complain about our Leaders, we do so at our own peril. Many who rejected Moses during the Exodus missed out on the Promised Land. Those who humbled themselves and honored Moses were the ones who reached it. Fellow comrades, let us make the most of our opportunities while we can. Vision 2030 is on the horizon, and the path we choose will shape our futures. Remember, he who bites your ear is indeed your brother. #handsoffourpresident #livinglifetheprecabeway #honorleadership #vision2030 #zanupf #thegreatrepublicofzimbabwe #nationalunity
