HE President Dr ED Mnangagwa, accompanied by Vice President Rtd General Dr CDGN Chiwenga, in his valedictory remarks, emphasized the essence of unity, stating, “Let us remain united, vigilant, determined and focused, building our beloved motherland, Zimbabwe, brick by brick, stone upon stone and step by step.” This powerful call for solidarity reminds us that a house divided against itself cannot stand. The President’s repeated emphasis on unity is not mere rhetoric; it reflects a genuine commitment to fostering a cohesive society. At the National Youth Day held on February 21, 2025, he reiterated that “betrayal or an internal wound is more destructive than an open wound.” If we truly love our country, we must reject the flames of dissension that threaten our progress. As patriots, our goal should be to eliminate obstacles to our Nation’s advancement. The launch of the National Youth Fund is a quintessential example of this Vision.
