*BIRTHDAY DREAMS.* _Be assured that from the first day we heard of you, we haven’t stopped praying for you, asking God to give you wise minds and spirits attuned to his will, and so acquire a thorough understanding of the ways in which God works (Colossians 1:9 MSG)._ Beautiful evening dear friend. I hope you are well. There is a funny video I came across this afternoon in which the speaker told the story of a man whose wife told him she had a dream about her birthday and saw herself wearing a pair of earrings, a necklace and a bracelet. She asked her husband what the dream meant and he responded that she should wait till her birthday to find out. Then on her birthday, the man brought a gift package to his wife and inside the package was a book titled "How to interpret dreams." As I thought about that story, it occurred to me that in a relationship between a husband and wife, a lot can ride on how the parties understand the desires, aspirations and wishes of their partner. Likewise, our ability to make a difference for the Lord in our partnership with Him for the pursuit of His purpose for our lives usually depends largely on our ability to perceive His will and understand what He is doing around us. This is why we must always pray the prayer Paul prayed for the Ephesians that God will make us intelligent and discerning in knowing Him personally. (Ephesians 1:15) Without the wisdom which the Spirit gives, we will not be able to correctly discern what is happening around us and how God is working in those things for our good. *Pray by faith with me thus:* Lord, give me a wise mind and a spirit attuned to Your will so that I know exactly what You want me to do at every point in time.
