*UNANIMOUS DISAGREEMENTS.* _But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded (2 Chronicles 15:7 NIV)._ Good evening dear friend. There is a story I read sometime ago about Walt Disney, American animator, film producer, voice actor, and entrepreneur who founded The Walt Disney Company, the multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate. The story is that whenever Walt presented some unbelievable, extensive dream he was entertaining, almost without exception, the members of his board would gulp, blink, and stare back at him in disbelief, resisting even the thought of such a thing. But unless every member resisted the idea, Disney usually didn't pursue it. The challenge wasn't big enough to merit his time and creative energy unless they were unanimously in disagreement! The point is not for us to actively seek opposition to our vision but to see that sometimes, a lack of opposition may be a sign that we are not dreaming big enough. You know, there are times when God would give us instructions to do certain things, and we will shy away from doing those things because we are trying to avoid confrontation. What I hope we learn is that we cannot do big things without big opposition. Every vision attracts opposition and possibly, the bigger the vision, the bigger the opposition. We should not shy away from the pursuit of God's purpose for our lives because of the challenges that come with disagreement. In fact, like Walt Disney, disagreements about our vision should motivate us to do all that we can for the fulfillment of God's purpose for our lives. *Pray by faith with me thus:* "Lord, help me to be resilient in the face of opposition in the pursuit of your purpose for my life."
