*THE PRINCIPLE OF CAUSE AND EFFECT.* _Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life (Galatians 6:8 NIV)._ Blessed evening dear friend. One thing that I thought was interesting about what Jesus said about the house on the rock and its counterpart which was built on sand is that both structures were tested by the same experiences. Jesus said that _"the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew"_ and beat against both houses but the consequences were radically different. _One did not fall while the other fell - and great was its fall (Matthew 7:25 AMPC)._ Now, as I think about this, I began to wonder if there was anything unfair about what happened to those houses. Then I realized that both house owners did not invest in building their houses equally. We can commiserate with the man whose house fell but we should learn not to copy him in respect of the shoddy work he did in building the house. We must learn that when the Bible says that God cannot be mocked and that it is what a person sows that he will reap, the principle applies also to how we invest in our pursuits of God's purpose for our lives. Many times, the results that people get is actually a reflection of the work that they put in. So, maybe it is time you took responsibility for the results you are getting in your pursuit of purpose by paying attention to the quality of the work you are doing. If you build your house on the right foundation, you will be able to sleep calmly, not bothered by the rain, floods and the wind. But if you do shoddy work, know that you will be equally rewarded. *Pray by faith with me thus:* "Lord, help me to be diligent in the pursuit of Your purpose and to faithfully fulfill my call."
