*GROWTH REQUIRES WISDOM.* _The ear that listens to and learns from the life-giving rebuke (reprimand, censure) will remain among the wise (Proverbs 15:31 AMP)._ Beautiful evening. In Acts 6, the Bible tells us the story about how the disciples in the early Church chose seven men to be Deacons. What I found very interesting in that story is that the Bible makes it clear that the Deacons were chosen in response to a critical issue that arose based on the growth of the church. The Bible tells us that _when the number of disciples was increasing, a complaint was made by the Hellenists (Greek-speaking Jews) against the [native] Hebrews, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily serving of food. (Acts 6:1)_ As I think about that story, one of the lessons that jump at me is that a critical skill for managing growth is having a sense of clarity about what your priorities are per time. The Apostles said they could not neglect the teaching of the Word in order to serve tables and distribute food and because their priorities were rightly set, they could create solutions that worked well for all. So, as we go about the pursuit of God's purpose for our lives, we should expect growth and as growth happens, we should learn to adapt based on our priorities. *Pray by faith with me thus:* "Lord, help me to develop capacity for managing growth in my pursuit of Your purpose for my life."
