*NAVIGATING NEW EXPERIENCES THROUGH WISDOM* _If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you (James 1:5 NIV)._ Good evening dear friend. I hope your week has started well. Do you remember the story about how God told Solomon to ask for anything he wanted and Solomon asked for a discerning heart to govern the people of Israel and to distinguish between right and wrong? What I found very interesting in the story was Solomon's motivation for asking for wisdom. The Bible shows us Solomon's thought process. He said _"who is able to govern this great people of yours?”_ The young king felt an overwhelming sense of inadequacy but he did not allow his feelings to deter him from taking on the assignment that had been committed to his hands. Instead, Solomon recognized that what he needed was the wisdom of God. He knew that without wisdom, there is no way he could rule a great nation of God's people. (1 Kings 3:9) As we go about the pursuit of God's purpose for our lives, I believe we should have the same mind as Solomon had. Our answer to new experiences is not to run away or give up but to ask the Lord for wisdom. The Bible tells us that _it is the glory of God to conceal a thing but it is the honour of kings to unravel matters. (Prov. 25:2)._ God's glory is revealed in us as we engage His wisdom to tackle what seemed like difficult situations and take on tasks which people thought was impossible. It is okay to recognize our inadequacy. It is okay to acknowledge that we have done what we are called to do before. But we should not stop there. Apostle James tells us to go to the Lord and ask for wisdom. The best thing is that we are assured that God will not withhold His Wisdom and as we act on the wisdom of God, everything else will fall into place. *Pray by faith with me thus:* "Lord, give me the wisdom that I need to navigate my pursuit of Your purpose for my life."
