*EVERYTHING MINUS LOVE EQUALS NOTHING.* _Do everything in love (1 Corinthians 16:14 NIV)._ Beautiful evening. One of the things that jump at me when I see conversations among Christians on social media is that there is a seeming increase in knowledge which is ordinarily a good thing but there is deficiency of love. I read exchanges between people who say they are Christians, some even church leaders, and you can see that although there is an abundance of zeal, there are too many people carrying hurts, contempt and dishonour in their hearts. Because people are not rooted in love, they are limited in their ability to actually add value. Instead of adding value, they fan the embers of controversy and do more harm than good. As I think about this, I am reminded of what Apostle Paul said about love. We all should think about what Paul said carefully that: _"if I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing" (1 Corinthians 13:1-3 NIV)._ This verdict of nothingness on a life and ministry lacking in love should raise concerns in our heart. We too must pray like Paul prayed that God will cause our love to abound more and more towards Him and the people around us. Just like anything you multiply by zero equals zero, anything we do in the pursuit of God's purpose for our lives not motivated by love equals nothing. *Pray by faith with me thus:* "Lord, help me to be rooted and established in love and to know Your love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of Christ."
