The Right Environment Can Accelerate Your Growth. "For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground." — Isaiah 53:2 (KJV) If you plant a seed in fertile soil, that seed will germinate and develop to become a vibrant tree that produces abundant fruit. But take that same seed and plant it in barren land; the germination will be inhibited. The seed might sprout after a long time or die in its seedling stage. Even if the seed manages to develop into a tree, it will become withered and produce shriveled fruit. Your environment matters! If you are not planted in the right environment, your success may be hindered, and your growth may be stunted. One of the things that cause people to be delayed in life is being in an environment that is not conducive for growth and development. The Bible states in Mark 6:5 (NIV), "He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them." Jesus' potential was limited by his environment. He could not manifest his full potential in his hometown because he was surrounded by faithless people. The only thing we hear Jesus doing in his hometown is healing a few sick people. There is not even a specific miracle mentioned that he did in his hometown. But immediately, when he stepped into a new environment – the surrounding cities and towns – we hear of Jesus raising the dead, turning water to wine, walking on water, and many more. Check your environment; it could be limiting your potential.
