🎓 PhD Studentships at Queen’s University Belfast – Centre for Children’s Rights 🌍
The Centre for Children’s Rights at Queen’s University Belfast is now accepting applications for two fully funded PhD studentships starting on 1 October 2025. These positions provide an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful research focused on children's health, education, and poverty.
1. Deaf Children and Young People’s Access to Key Supports and Provisions
Supervisors: Prof. Bronagh Byrne & Dr. Cate McNamee
In partnership with the National Deaf Children's Society, this project explores how health and education systems meet the needs of deaf children and young people, with a focus on accessibility, availability, and collaboration.
2. Developing a Child-Led Measure of Poverty
Supervisors: Dr. Mary-Louise Corr & Dr. Cate McNamee
In collaboration with Save the Children UK & Ulster University, this project involves participatory research with children to develop a new, child-led measure of poverty that reflects their lived experiences and informs policy.
