𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 The new Drakenstein Municipality General Valuation Roll is available for public inspection from Thursday, 13 February 2025, to Monday, 24 March 2025. It is important for property owners to view the roll as their new property tax, which will be charged from 1 July 2025 onwards, will be based on this valuation. Any property owner or interested party who wishes to lodge an objection against a property valuation must do so during this 30-day inspection period, ending on 24 March 2025. This public participation process is prescribed by the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, No. 6 of 2004. Drakenstein Municipality’s new certified General Valuation Roll will be valid from the beginning of the Municipality’s new financial year, 1 July 2025, until 30 June 2029.
