𝗥𝟯𝟬𝟭 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Drakenstein Municipality is pleased to announce that the R301 has been reopened for traffic in both directions. The road was subject to a stop/go system due to reconstruction work undertaken by the Western Cape Department of Infrastructure. The scope of work included the upgrading of 4.10 km of the road from the N1 until the Kliprug Road, into a dual carriageway. It also included the realignment of the road, construction of various major intersections, and the construction and upgrading of existing stormwater infrastructure. The road was resurfaced, rebuilt and widened too, which is all great news for our motorists.
