*Emirates Will Launch 2nd Airbus A350-900 Cabin Configuration With More Premium Economy Seats*
Emirates is set to introduce a new cabin configuration for its Airbus A350-900 aircraft, enhancing the Premium Economy experience. This updated layout will feature 32 Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy seats, and 238 Economy Class seats, resulting in a total capacity of 298 passengers. This change increases the number of Premium Economy seats by seven, while reducing Economy Class seats by 21, leading to an overall reduction of 14 seats compared to the current configuration.
The first deployment of this newly configured A350-900 is scheduled for October 25, 2025, on the daily route between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Bahrain (BAH). Following this, starting December 2, 2025, the aircraft will also operate on flights from Dubai to Mumbai (BOM). These initial short-haul routes will allow Emirates to evaluate the new seating arrangement before considering its application on longer-haul flights.
Emirates' Premium Economy cabin, first introduced in 2022, offers passengers enhanced comfort with features such as leather reclining seats, adjustable headrests, in-seat charging points, and a premium dining experience. The expansion of this cabin in the A350-900 reflects the airline's commitment to providing a more comfortable and varied travel experience for its customers.
This development is part of Emirates' broader strategy to modernize its fleet and enhance passenger comfort, especially in response to delays in the delivery of Boeing 777X aircraft. The airline has been incorporating the Airbus A350 into its operations, with plans to have 21 A350s by March 2026.
