*Man Sentenced After Stripping Naked & Assaulting TSA Officer In Indianapolis* George Stevens, a 38-year-old South Carolina resident, was sentenced on February 25, 2025, to 33 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty to charges of interfering with security screening personnel and assaulting a federal officer. The incident occurred on July 15, 2023, at approximately 1:30 p.m. at Indianapolis International Airport's TSA Checkpoint A. After a screening machine indicated the need for additional screening of Stevens' chest, groin, and buttocks, a Transportation Security Officer (TSO) requested a pat-down search. Stevens initially complied but became agitated during the groin area pat-down, calling the TSO a "freak" multiple times. A supervisor was summoned, observing that Stevens appeared intoxicated and was uncooperative. When instructed to remove his belt and hold up his pants by the belt loops, Stevens squatted and shook his buttocks at the supervisor and other TSOs. Despite being informed that airport police were en route, Stevens escalated his behavior by pulling down his jeans and underwear, exposing himself to TSA officers and nearby passengers, including families with children. Upon the arrival of the Indianapolis Airport Police Department (APD) officer, Stevens continued to disrobe, placing his jeans over the supervisor's shoulder, pressing his underwear into the supervisor's face, and advancing toward the supervisor while completely naked. He was subsequently arrested by APD and removed from the checkpoint. Prior to this incident, Stevens had an extensive criminal history, including multiple convictions for domestic violence and firearms offenses.
