*Tihlo Ra Le Hlengweni News News 21 February 2025* *ANC Mayor in North West Takes Sick Leave Following Explicit Video Leak* Norah Mahlangu, the ANC mayor of Tswaing Local Municipality, has taken a one-month sick leave after an explicit video of her was leaked in a party WhatsApp group. The leak has caused significant embarrassment and controversy within the local political landscape. The explicit video, which has rapidly circulated on various social media platforms, reportedly shows Mahlangu in compromising situations, leading to widespread discussion and speculation among party members and the public. Sam Letlakane, the speaker of the Tswaing Local Municipality legislature, confirmed that Mahlangu is on leave from February 15th to March 16th. He acknowledged the video leak and stated, “The mayor is undertaking an investigation into the matter and is consulting law enforcement agencies for further inquiries.” The identity of the person who leaked the video remains unclear, adding to the mounting tension within the party.
