Still Waiting… ⏳ Everyone is eagerly anticipating the RCIP/FCIP list of eligible employers, but there’s still no official announcement. How much longer? Are they keeping us in suspense on purpose? In the meantime, if you’re an employer looking to hire through the Rural and Francophone Community Immigration Pilots, here’s what you need to know: 🔷 Get designated as an employer Being “designated” means you can hire candidates under these pilots. Each participating community is responsible for designating employers in their area. To qualify, you must: ✔️ Have been operating for at least 2 years in a participating community ✔️ Be in good standing with employment and safety laws ✔️ Do at least 75% of your business inside the community ✔️ Work in a priority sector identified by the community ✔️ Complete free onboarding and intercultural competency training ✔️ Agree to support newcomer settlement Who CANNOT apply? ❌ Consulates, staffing agencies, or businesses controlled by candidates ❌ Employers offering non-genuine jobs or those violating compliance rules ❌ Businesses involved in striptease, escort services, or erotic massage 💡 Each community has its own process—apply directly through their websites! Once designated, you’ll receive a Confirmation of Designation to start hiring.
