A child presents to you at your clinic as represented in this image....and what comes to your mind is to ask the Mother/Father where have you been??? but then you realize you need to be patient to capture the history well....in the middle of your history taking, the mother told you....my baby was so jovial, one Sunday while they were playing with another Mama in Mother's room during service she noticed something whitish in my child's left eye and she asked wether I took her to hospital because it looked funny but then in numerous occasions I have been reassured during regular Child welfare clinic that it will fade away...I even went to another private hospital and nothing was done........as you continue with the history, you realize it has been 2yrs or more since Mama has been seeking answers. Herbal medication and spiritualists intervention was sought though the history isn't clear...... The clearer challenge in this case and many others is lack of awareness of early signs/ symptoms of Retinoblastoma!
