قال الإمام الألباني رحمه الله: «…وهل أنا معصوم حتى لا أتراجع ؟ الذي لا يتراجع معناه متعصب! لقد تراجع من هو أعلم مني و أسبق مني وأقدم مني وإلى آخره ..، وجعل ذلك من فضائلهم ، ونحن نتشبه بهم كما قيل : "فتشبهوا إن لم تكونوا مثلهم إن التشبه بالكرام فلاح"». سلسلة الهدى والنور (ش.١٩٢) Imam Al Albani, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “…Am I infallible so that I do not retract? The one who does not retract, it means that he is a fanatic! Those who were more knowledgeable than me, preceded me and were older than me etc. did retract and this was considered one of their virtues. We try to imitate them, as it is said: ‘Emulate them if you cannot be like them. For verily, imitating the noble ones is success.’” Silsilat al Huda wa al Nur, Tape 192
