Intially Sr. Adv. Jaideep Gupta requested to withdraw 8 appeals of Minority institutions. Which is granted and are now withdrawn as requested. Then the bench has formulated the procedure of hearing the connected matters. Which is as follows: Four groups of: • Two groups for : Whether RTE applies to Minority Institutions or not. • Other Two groups for: Whether TET is required for Promotion or not. Now from the respondent side: Lady Adv. Ms. Rameshwaram argued in favour of TET required for Promotion, and she was eventually halted by the bench with a statement, that she is unable to argue on the stand Sr. Adv. Jaideep Gupta has taken. Which is that prior three NCTE notifications acted as a waiver for TET not required for Promotion of teachers from primary to upper primary. Bench also stated that Respondents have not taken proper stand on the earlier notifications in their Writ.
