*A PAROLE CONTRACT* This refers to a contract contract made orally or by a writing not under seal: contract not embodied in a judgment of record. An example of parole evidence is when two parties agree in a contract to exchange a good for money on a specified date. One party receives the good, but does not pay. The unpaid party sues and wants to apply an additional fee for nonpayment. *Exceptions to the Parole Evidence Rule* This refers to the various instances where parole evidence can be admitted. These include: 1. clarification of ambiguous terms, 2. correction of mistakes in the agreement, 3. the proof of fraud, 4. duress, or 5. illegality. Under these instances, there is room for variation of the original terms of a contract. *ELaw Gh*
