*FMC Ikole Achieves Medical Milestone with Successful Knee Replacement Surgery*
In a remarkable feat, the Federal Medical Centre, Ikole-Ekiti, has successfully performed a total knee replacement surgery, just six months into its operations. This achievement underscores the hospital's commitment to providing quality and affordable healthcare services to the people of Ekiti State and beyond.
According to Professor Dare Ogunlusi, Chief Medical Director of the hospital, the surgery was performed on a 72-year-old woman who had been battling knee pain for years. Notably, the patient began walking just three days after the operation, a testament to the expertise of the medical team involved.
The hospital's facilities have been upgraded to meet global best standards, ensuring that patients receive top-notch care. Professor Ogunlusi commended the federal government, President Bola Tinubu, Minister of Health Professor Ali Pate, and Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji for their efforts in improving healthcare standards in the country.
This achievement is a significant milestone for FMC Ikole, demonstrating its capacity to deliver complex medical procedures. As the hospital continues to grow and develop, it is likely to become a leading healthcare provider in the region.
