*VETERAN BROADCASTER, CHRISTIANAH ADEMULEGUN "EYE OPITAN" PASSES ON AT 74* The first indigenous broadcaster in Ekiti State, Christianah Ademulegun, popularly known as "Eye Opitan", has passed away at the age of 74. According to a statement released by her son, Femi Ademulegun, the veteran broadcaster died on Thursday after a brief illness. Ademulegun was a trailblazer in the broadcasting industry, known for her distinctive voice and creative style of chanting Ekiti eulogies and praise poems. She had a distinguished career spanning several decades, retiring from the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State and consulting for private stations. She is survived by her children and grandchildren. Her legacy as a pioneering broadcaster and cultural icon will be deeply missed in Ekiti State and beyond.
