We are very much delighted to announce that Dr. P.I Ajithan has won the Indian Counsel for Philosophical Research (ICPR) Post- Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) for his research on “the philosophical development of Shrividya and Self identity of its practitioners”. This is the second Post-doctoral fellowship that he is receiving from the Central Government. His first study was on the Kālī temples of Kerala and their affiliation with Krama tantrism of Kashmir. The two articles published in the Mathrubhumi Supplements on Valayanatu Kavu, Kozhikkode, reflect well his major findings on the Śākta temples of Kerala. In the present study he is going to see how the philosophical core of Shrividya has evolved overtime and the gravity of impact of hermeneutical tradition on the development of the cult.
