What happened to the warmth and closure that we knew? I wish we could pretend this connection was new The memories replay like broken record dreams, A friendship that is not cut loose at the seams. Was it ever a word, a wrong deed, or rude time That led us to this very silent line I pen these lines with hopeful heart, To bridge the gap and heal the scar. For though we drift on separate ways, I long to mend our golden days. Dear friend, I miss you and me, The conversations were wild and free.
