_Fare thee well Mwalimu_ Yesterday, at Gaciongo Catholic Church, when I joined the family, relatives and friends of the late Mwalimu Cyrus Justin Maina to bid him farewell. The late Mwalimu Cyrus Maina, my friend and village-mate, was a renowned career teacher who taught in many schools in several parts of Kirinyaga --- including Kibaro, Gaciongo, Rūkenya, Ūrumandi, Ithiga Rianjūki, Karucho, Mwanianjaū, and finally at Kianyambo where he retired in June 2015 after an impressive teaching career spanning 40-years. Apart from being a teacher, Mr. Maina was a prominent coffee farmer in Gichûgû. Fare thee well Mwalimu. May God rest his soul in everlasting peace. Amen! 🙏
