Multiple fully funded Ph.D. graduate student assistantships are available in my Smart Construction and Intelligent Infrastructure Systems (SCIIS) research Lab in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at NJIT starting in the Fall 2025 semester. Ideal candidates will have a master degree in Civil Engineering (preferably with a construction engineering and management focus/concentration), a strong programming experience, and a proven knowledge in building/training various machine learning models (preferably deep learning algorithms). Selected candidates will receive a very competitive annual stipend of $40k-46k, full tuition coverage, and full insurance/fringe benefits coverage.
To apply, please send your CV, GRE scores, TOEFl/IELTS/Duolingo scores, transcripts, sample projects/publications, and any other relevant documents to me at: [email protected] with the "Fall 2025 Prospective Ph.D. Student" email title. Since the Fall 2025 semester starts in just a couple of months, preference will be given to candidates who are already in the US or those who can obtain an F1 visa within 3-4 months. Follow-up interviews will be scheduled with each of the short-listed candidates. Due to the high number of expected applications, I apologize if I was not able to reply to each individual email (I will do my best to reply though).
